Keeper Of The Seven Keys 시리즈의 충격이 너무나도 컸나? Pink Bubbles Go Ape 앨범과 더불어 미운 오리새끼 취급을 당하는 Chameleon 앨범이니 말이다. 이정도의 수준이면 어디 내놓아도 크게 꿀릴 것이 없는 음악임에는 틀림없다. 단지, '말달리자'가 없을 뿐이다. 전작이 유일하게 플래티넘을 기록한 나라가 우리나라뿐이니 그나마 국내에서의 상황은 좀 나은 편이라 할 수 있겠는데, '헬로윈이 해체되었다', '보컬이 사망하였다'등의 황당한 루머를 일축하고 나타난 본작 Chameleon은 전작에서 한걸음 더 나아가 헤비메틀의 범주에 아슬하게 걸칠법한 모던한 음악을 선보이고 있다. 곡작업에 있어 Michael Kiske의 비중이 높아지면서 급격한 방향선회가 이루어진 것으로 보이며, 이는 Michael Weikath와의 불화로 이어진다.

난 어떤 밴드가 다른 노선으로 갈아타는걸 크게 신경쓰지않고 노래만 좋으면 된다고 생각한다.
하지만 이앨범은 너무 벗어난듯한 느낌이 든다...그렇다고 귀에 쏙쏙 들어오는 좋은 곡이 있는것도아니고;;
