바로크 메탈의 완벽한 효시를 이룬 기념비적인 작품이다. 타이틀곡인 Burn에서 리치 블랙모어는 바로크 모드를 규칙적으로 연주하는데, 이런 타입의 연주 방식은 80년 중반에 잉베이 맘스틴에 의해 더욱 세련화되었다. 존 로드 역시 클래시컬한 화성에 기반한 진행을 통해 바로크 기법의 완벽한 표준을 보여준다. 리치 블랙모어의 이러한 유형의 솔로잉 방식은 이후에 Rainbow의 Kill The King이나 A Light In The Black등으로 이어지며 더욱 현란한 모습을 드러내기도 했다. Burn이외에도 Mistreated, You Fool No One등의 곡들에서도 하드락 역사에서 길이 빛날 명연을 선보인다.
