Brutal Truth was formed by Dan Lilker in 1990. The band split up in 1998 and reformed in 2006 with a new guitar player. The band split up again on Dan Lilker's 50th birthday on October 18th, 2014.
In 2001, the Guinness Book of Records officially crowned Brutal Truth's video for "Collateral Damage" 'The Shortest Music Video Ever' - the video clip, produced in 1994, is a record-breaking 2.18 seconds long.
