As Violence Turns Away is a Mexican-American metalcore band formed in Escondido, California in 2017. The current line up consists of lead vocalist Dahlia Flores, scream vocalist and rhythm guitarist Eduardo Aguiar, lead guitarist Harley Salvador, bassist Daniel Arroyo, and drummer William Murillo. It all started back in August of 2017 and it only consisted of Eduardo Aguiar as the founder of the band. He got with his friends Erick Smith, Axel Fernandez, Austin Simmons, and James Thompson. They released 2 demo albums and would only perform at underground concerts. All 4 members left the band expect for Eduardo, James left due to a medical condition, Erick and Austin left to move to another state, and sadly on May 23rd 2018, Axel passed away after committing suicide. Eduardo and Kai were the only members remaining and they decided to hire a lead guitarist, and then thats when Harley Salvador decided to take the role for lead guitar. As 2019 came around, Kai, Harley, and Eddie found a bestfriend of his and decided join in as bassist as Eddie was the bassist and vocalist. So then after that went on, Daniel Arroyo became bass player for the band in 2019. 2020 was a great year for the quartet and they even released their first debut album "Technical Difficulties" which focused on "nintendo type music" and metalcore. As 2021 went by, The quartet released their 2nd album "Terrortory" which vary in metalcore, deathcore, and even alternative metal. As of 2022, it was confirmed that longtime drummer and clean vocalist Kai Ateselp left the band to focus on his relationship with his new girlfriend. On July 2022, new vocalist Dahlia Flores and drummer William Murillo stepped in to take the places that were left over. Most of the bands influences are Killswitch Engage, vein.fm, Slipknot, System of a Down, Nothing More, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Slaughter To Prevail, Lorna Shore, As Blood Runs Black, Asking Alexandria, blessthefall, Whitechapel, Parkway Drive, Suicide Silence, Infant Annihilator, Three Days Grace, and Metallica. All of the members even have their influences to other artists, Dahlia is inspired by Courtney LaPlante, Morgan Lander, Jonny Hawkins, Idina Menzel and Christina Rotondo, Eduardo is inspired by Jesse Leach, Howard Jones, Alex Terrible, Corey Taylor, Adam Gontier, Serj Tankian, Mitch Lucker, Phil Bozeman, Anthony DiDio and Will Ramos. Harley is inspired by Josh Burke, Kirk Hammett, Adam D, James Hetfield, and Synester Gates. Daniel is inspired by Robert Trujillo, Les Claypool, Daniel Oliver, Shavo Odadjian, Mike D'Antonio, and Jared Warth. William is inspired by Joey Jordison, Justin Foley, Lars Ulrich, James Cassells, Matt Wood and Jordan Mancino.
