유럽등지에서 최고의 평가를 끌어낸 Therion의 정규10집 앨범 Secret Of The Runes 으로, 한단계 더욱 진보한 Avantgarde Operatic Gothic Metal 을 들려준다. Deggial에서 곡들이 유기적으로 연결되어 있는 듯한 통일감이 있었던 것에 비해 개별적으로 흩어진 듯한, Vovin 앨범과 연장선상에 있다고 할 수 있는 구성을 가지고 있다. 깊은 감동을 주는 소프라노보컬의 화려한 멜로디를 들을 수 있는 Midgard, 폭발적이고 드라마틱한 진행이 돋보이는 Ginnungagap등을 수록하고 있다. 곡간의 편차가 다소 벌어진 것이 흠으로 작용할 수 있으나, 몇몇곡들의 완성도는 놀라운 수준에 이르렀다.
