흑인의 음악인 "Funk"와 백인의 음악인 "Rock"이 만난 혼합 장르의 선구자 중 하나인 이들의 데뷔앨범으로 신명난 Rhythm과 다듬어지지 않은 Rap으로 공연장에서도 미친 뽕끼를 드러내는 밴드이다. 당시에도 유행하던 Disco Rap을 본격적으로 Band music에 접목시킨 실험성은 크게 칭찬 받을 만하고, 이들 음악의 가장 핵심적인 요소인 Funk를 가장 도드라지게 만드는 Bass의 역할이 가장 크다고 본다. Bassist 'Michael "Flea" Balzary'의 Finger picking과 Slap은 후에 많은 Bassist에게 영감과 영향을 주기도 한다.
데뷔앨범치고도 준수한 완성도의 음악을 들려줘서 Rhythm이 강조된 음악을 좋아하는 사람한테도 무난하게 즐길 수 있는 재미있는 앨범이라고 생각한다.
