현재까지도 왕성하게 활동하고 있는 Death Metal밴드 Napalm Death는 80년대 초반 영국 버밍엄에서 결성되었다. 익스트림 뮤직의 선구자역할을 했던 Scum과 From Enslavement To Obliteration 이후 발표한 세 번째 정규작 Harmony Corruption으로, Grindcore계의 명반으로 통한다. Cannibal Corpse, Death, Deicide, Obituary등의 음반들을 제작한 거물 프로듀서 Scott Burns의 지휘아래 제작되었으며 밴드의 초기 멤버들은 Carcass, Godflesh, Cathedral등에서 활동하며 큰 영향력을 행사하기도 하였다.
