더블 플래티넘을 기록했던 Countdown To Extinction에 이어 2년만에 발표한 Youthanasia 앨범이다. 빠른 스피드위에 메마르고 거칠은 분노의 Intellectual Thrash를 들려 주었던 전작들에 비해 다소 하드락적인 작법과 풍요로워진 리듬, 그다지 빠르지 않은 미들템포의 연주로 어느정도 논란이 일었던 작품이다. 개인적으론 이정도의 변화는 수긍할만하다고 여겨진다. 보다 풍요로워진 기타리프로 채워져 있는 Blood Of Heroes, 드라마틱하고 멜로디컬한 진행이 일품인 Family Tree, 싱글로 발매되어 인기를 얻은 Train Of Consequences등이 담겨져 있다.
