Additional notes
Out of the ashes of seminal hardcore act Scratch Acid, The Jesus Lizard came together in 1987. Formed as a parallel project to the (post-Big Black) Steve Albini unit Rapeman, they went on for over a decade, releasing seven albums before calling it quits in 1999. Their last proper release in 1998 was produced by Gang of Four's Andy Gill. In 2000, the band wrapped up loose ends with Bang, a compilation of rarities.
